Embarking on the Self-care digital transformation.
This century is largely referred to as the digital era and while everything is evolving, our mobile operators have refused to stay stuck in the past too. A recent study reveals that 80 percent of calls to call centers are related to simple queries which can easily be resolved by the individual[1]. Econet Wireless, which is continuously on top of its innovation game among the rest of other Mobile Network Operators, is first again in Zimbabwe to ensure that Customer Experience is enhanced by introducing Self-care.
Econet Self-care service delivers an augmented customer engagement, through its personalized and secure interaction. The Website is zero-rated which means that customers are not charged to access the website. The web address is: https://selfcare.econet.co.zw/ and below is the home page when you visit the website.

The Website does not need any special level of intellectuality in order to use it. Any person can access and comprehend the web page without any complication.
This article will briefly discuss some of the functions on Selfcare, since unpacking the service will need one to take the initiative to explore the variety of things on offer. Econet Self-care among other things offers the below services
Call History
Accessing your call history has never been easier with Econet Wireless. It is now a button away. Once you are logged on you select a cycle period and “walah” your call history is right there.
Recharge options
Given that USSD’s also go under maintenance is it not ideal to have a contingency plan? Well, you do have that option now. You can now recharge your mobile using the website. Simply punch in the recharge keys on the panel and your mobile number is topped up.
Those over-scratched or damaged recharge cards do not have to give you a hustle anymore while you try to contact the call center. The platform provides fa way in which you can retrieve your recharge keys by entering your serial number and 5 consecutive numbers visible on the scratch panel.
Among the services related to recharging is the ability to transfer airtime using the portal. Your current balance will be visible which will enable you to be aware of the amount that you can transfer. Simply enter the destination mobile number and the amount and your airtime transfer is processed.
Retrieving your PUK, Configuring you device for Internet settings and Other additional services.
Once you are registered on the Web Selfcare service, retrieving your PUK is only a click away. Having to make contact with the call center (Which might take some time) is now a thing of the past. Simple things like configuring your device for data settings is easy, just select your device name from the list and receive automatic settings to your device.

As earlier mentioned, going through all of the services provided in detail would be virtually impossible, however, the interface provided by the MNO is one that is easy to use and simple to navigate. For example, activating and deactivating your missed call, international roaming, Buddie Beatz is easy and hustle free.
Should you, by any chance, fail to find the service you are in need of, Econet has gone the extra mile to ensure that you can contact them without having to go through their 111 line which is usually difficult to get through to because of the heavy traffic on that line. You have two options as the interface user. Firstly you can request to chat with an Econet agent who will then assist you right away or advice on the matter in question. Alternatively you are at liberty to log your query on the platform and assign the level of urgency i.e extremely high, lower or normal. Once you have submitted your query you can track it until it has reached the resolution point.
We hope that you enjoy going through the site and make use of it for prompt responses on your queries and Selfcare problem resolution.
